Patty is
through to her 3rd quarter-final of the year in Charleston after she
defeated #11 seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland 6-3 6-2. In the
quarters to be played on Friday, Patty will play #4 seed Elena Dementieva of
Russia, they have played 15 times before and Patty trails the series 7-8.

through to the 3rd in Charleston today after she defeated Olga Govortsova of Belarus
7-6 6-0. In the 3rd round to be played on Thursday, Patty will play
#11 seed

12th April 2008 The
draw for the Family Circle Cup in Charleston has been released and Patty is
the #7 seed and has a bye in the 1st round. In the 2nd round Patty
will play either Elena Vesnina of Russia or Olga Govrotsova of Belarus.
If Patty can win that match, the 1st seed she can meet is #11 seed
Agnieszka
Radwanska of Poland.
Charleston is 1 of Patty's favourite events and has reached the final twice
here - in 2002 and 2006 and has recorded some of her best ever wins here
over Serena Williams, Lindsay Davenport, Jennifer Capriati and Amelie
Mauresmo.

the 2nd round.

6th April 2008 The
draw for the Bausch & Lomb Championships in Amelia Island has been released
and Patty is the #5 seed and has a bye in the 1st round. In the 2nd
round she will play either Elena Vesnina of Russia or Milagros Sequera of
Venezuela. This match will be played on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
This will be Patty's 1st clay event of 2008 and last year lost in the 2nd
round and her best performance here was reaching the quarters in 1999, 2003
and 2006.

of Miami after she lost 0-6 1-6 to Kaia Kanepi of Estonia in the 3rd round.

Patty wins 1st match
in Miami
28th March 2008 Patty
is through to the 3rd round in Miami after she toughed out a 3 set battle
against Vania King of the United States. Patty won 7-6 4-6 6-2.
In the 3rd round to be played on Sunday, Patty will play Kaia Kanepi of
Estonia. Patty has played Kanpei once before here last year in the 2nd
round. Patty lost in straight sets.

Miami draw released
24th March 2008 The
draw for the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami has been released and Patty is the
11 seed and has a bye in the 1st round. In the 2nd round Patty will
play either Meghann Shaughnessy of the United States or a qualifier.
The 1st seed Patty can meet is #21 seed Alona Bondarenko of the Ukraine.
There could be a possible match-up with 2007 champion Serena Williams in the
4th round.
Patty's best result here was reaching the 4th round in 1998, 1999 and 2006
and last year she lost in the 2nd round.

Patty loses Bangalore
final
9th March 2008 Patty lost
5-7 3-6 #3 seed Serena Williams of the United States in the final in
Bangalore tonight.
Even though Patty lost she still had a great tournament and has something to
build on for the rest of the year. Patty's next tournament will be
Miami beginning on March 24th.
Patty stays at #12 in the rankings with 1871 points.

is through to her 1st final of 2008 at the Bangalore Open as she defeated Zi
Yan of China 6-3 6-4 in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
In the final to be played on Sunday, Patty will play #3 seed Serena Williams
of the United States. They have played 9 times before and Williams
leads 6-3 but Patty has won 3 of the last 4 meetings. They have never
met in a final before.

This is Patty's 3rd appearance in a quarter-final this year, having reached
this stage at the Gold Coast and Antwerp.
