Swiss Patty Schnyder has moved into the third round of the $140,000 Helsinki Open, beating Ukrainian Tatiana Perebiynis 3-6 6-2 6-2.

Third seed Schnyder dropped the first set to Perebiynis, ranked 121 on the WTA rankings, before recovering to take control of the match.

It marked the second slow start in the tournament for 24th ranked Schnyder. She also dropped the first set in her match on Monday against Croatian Silvija Talaja.

"I've had problems with starting matches... (but) I found my game and had no problems in the second and third sets," Schnyder said.
